About Sharon

Sharon's Purpose: To connect with and inspire others to care for themselves so they are free and empowered to live a life that counts for themselves and God.

Sharon's Vision: That all people are making life-giving choices that empower them.

Living with chronic illness herself has enabled Sharon to connect with those facing health challenges and support them in a unique way. She can understand the struggle, frustration, disappointment and "why me" as well as the tremendous power of choice. She also works with caregivers who need to take deliberate action to create a life for themselves, and women making life changes.

Sharon's background and experience with health issues and helping others defines who she is and how she can work with you as your coach. She has a BA in Social Work from the University of Washington. She is a member of the Speakers Bureau at the Northwest Kidney Center, speaking to schools and other groups about kidneys, transplants, and organ donation.

For 10 years, Sharon has provided counseling and guidance to individuals as part of a formal church ministry program. One of Sharon's most fulfilling roles is being a facilitator for education classes for pre-dialysis people and their families.

Sharon feels strongly about prevention, focusing on what you can do rather than what you cannot. Sharon also leads support groups for kidney patients and their families.

Sharon graduated from the Institute for Life Coach Training as a Certified Life Coach.

She is told that people find her warm, caring and courageous. But she is also well aware that it takes determination of steel to overcome some of life's challenges. She finds particular joy in helping others find ways to lighten the load.
